Se realizó la 54 entrega de los Premios Grammy 54° en el Staples Center de Los Ángeles . Los más prestigiosos premios de la industria musical iniciaron con un sentido homenaje a la recién fallecida cantante, productora y actriz Whitney Houston. Adele y Foo Fighters los grandes ganadores.Adele logró el premio como mejor canción del año por “Rolling In The Deep” en la54 versión de los Premios Grammy mientras los Foo Fighters lograron llevarse cuatro galardones de los seis a los que aspiraban, incluído mejor álbum de rock por “Wasting Light”.
